WAGON and Horses A beat Rising Sun B 5-2 in their Bewdley Town Darts League match on Friday.
Visiting Wagon stormed to a 3-0 lead, but excellent darts from Paul Welsh and Steve Bridgewater in the first doubles of the match gave hope of a late come-back.
However, Simon Thomas soon squashed this idea with a convincing win in the next singles, beating Welsh to clinch the game for Wagon.
Wagon also won the next doubles, leaving Andrew Perry to sin a late consolation game for the Sun over Paul Edwards
In the reverse fixtures, Rising Sun A v Wagon & Horses B, the result was reversed, Sun being victorious by 4-3.
Darren Pugh led off for the Sun A with a 119 check out against Des Tipper. There were wins from captain Mike Link, Rob Jones and Rich Mason, meant the result was soon decided.
Late wins in the doubles meant Wagon were able to redress the balance somewhat but the night belonged to the Rising Sun.
Great Western appeared to have found their form, as they beat White Swan 5-2.
Starting with a 120 in his 10-dart game, D Chamberlain led the way for his team-mates, and there were good results for captain Pete Carter, Jim McCormick and A Kirk in the singles, plus a double victory for Ray Stilgoe and Chamberlain.
