CHRIS Garrard returns to the Worcester Rugby Club line-up to take on London Welsh at Sixways on Saturday (3pm).
He replaces Alistair Murdoch on the wing. The Aussie three-quarter thus becomes the third skipper to be dropped this season after Kingsley Jones and Ben Clarke.
Jim Jenner takes over the captaincy, while Sixways favourites Neil Lyman and Dave Sims are also included.
Lyman replaces Alejandro Moreno, who is on international duty with Italy, while Sims comes in for a rare start because of Dan Zaltzman's ankle knock. Jones, Clarke and Chris Yates will again not feature.
Meanwhile, fly half Steven Vile will stay on at Sixways until the end of the season. The New Zealander was brought to the club in November but has impressed to earn an extended role.
Probable side: Roke; Tuipulotu, Hinshelwood, Trueman, Garrard; Chalmers, Smith; Windo, Ross, Lyman, Sims, Morgan, Evans, Nias, Jenner. Reps: Moncrief, Yapp, Barrow, Hall, Carter, Collins, Soper.
