MEMBERS were welcomed to the October 28 meeting at Wythall Village Hall.
Fifty-eight members are going on the Christmas outing to Shugborough Hall. A raffle will be held in the evening and the competition is for a small Victorian Christmas decoration.
It was agreed that instead of sending Christmas cards, there will again be a collection for Primrose Hospice.
Speaker Martin Le Page gave a moving account of his life in Guernsey during the Occupation.
The next meeting is on Thursday, November 25, when James Roberts will speak on The Art of Sweet Making.
