AN 8-0 thrashing of basement side Knowle kept Kidderminster Harriers Ladies in control at the West Midlands League Division One summit.

Lauren Haswell set Harriers on their way, heading home an Emma Bowdler corner in the sixth minute.

But the only other first-half score came from Vicky Roberts who fired home the second goal with her left foot from 12 yards in the 28th minute.

Julie Freeman netted two goals after the interval in seven minutes, opening her tally with a superb solo effort.

The prolific forward then added a close-range header following a corner.

Bowdler added Harriers' fifth in the 64th minute, direct from a corner, and then the keeper failed to hold her shot six minutes later.

The ball rebounded for player-of-the-match Lisa Stokes to grab the sixth goal.

Great work by Stokes set up Vicky Hyde to drive into the roof of the net from 12 yards before Paula Brabbing marked her first game of the season with the final goal.

Fixture, Sunday: Headless Cross v Harriers Ladies (2pm, players meet 12.15pm at Aggborough).
