TWO games in as many days took their toll on Bromsgrove Rovers as they drew 0-0 at Midland Alliance rivals Studley on Thursday, July 31.
Rovers looked tired and jaded after playing an Aston Villa XI 24 hours earlier.
Former Rover Mark Crisp missed a good chance at the far post on 35 minutes and Anthony Johnson forced Ian Gandy into a good save seven minutes later.
Sam Bowen's 25-yard effort just cleared the crossbar 15 minutes from time.
Matt Coppin, another former Victoria Ground player, should have wrapped the game up for Studley in the dying minutes but missed the target.
ROVERS
Gandy, Nelson, Beckett, Frost, Benton, Scheppel, Jackson, Dyson , Sutton (sub Bowen 55 mins), Banner (sub Okwuadigbo 77 mins), Tompkins.
Att - 126.
