MALVERN Town started brightly and in the sixth minute a free kick into the box found Dean Roberts, whose shot went just wide in this Midland Alliance game.

MALVERN TOWN 1, STUDLEY 3

In the 13th minute the ball was played from the right into the area and knocked on by Danny James to Scott Morris, who headed it straight into the keeper's arms.

Five minutes later another free kick fell to Darren Bullock, who headed just over the bar, and in the 20th minute, following good approach work, Roberts shot across goal with Morris just unable to get a touch. In the 25th minute Scott Morris was stretchered off with a knee injury.

Studley's first real chance of the game came in the 33rd minute when a free kick from 35 yards out hit the wall and fell to James Hands whose shot was brilliantly saved by Paul Wyatt in the Malvern goal.

Malvern's ill-luck with injuries continued just before the interval when Craig Williams was also stretchered off.

Straight from the restart Malvern went on the attack and the ball was played out to Phil Preedy whose shot went just wide of the post.

Studley's second attack saw them take the lead in the 51st minute when Kevin Jones weaved his way past a couple of defenders and fired home.

In the 70th minute James went on a good run down the left and crossed to Nick Clayton whose header went straight to the keeper but a minute later Nathan Jukes played the ball to Roberts, and following an interchange of passes, the ball fell to Jukes to volley home the equaliser.

With a couple of minutes remaining a Studley corner was played to the back post and was knocked down for Jones to head home his, and Studley's, second goal.

Malvern went searching for the equaliser and in time added on were encamped in the opposition half when the ball was played out to Jones just inside the Malvern half. He raced down the pitch and cut the ball back to Mark Neath to slide the ball past the stranded Wyatt.
