More than 30 charities from across the district will be setting out their stall at Malvern Theatres.

They will be taking part in the Annual Charities Fair, organised by Malvern Community Action, on Saturday, November 20.

The event, now in its 24th year, attracts thousands of visitors and offers charities the chance to raise funds and promote their cause.

Diane Bellamy, of Community Action, said: "The fair is always a very popular event. It's unique because it involves so many organisations gathered in one place at one time.

"It's amazing to see just how many volunteer organisations there are in the area, and people can pick up information, or get advice from every one of them.

"It shows all the different aspects of support and help that people in the community can get."

Charities attending the event include Oxfam, Citizens Advice Bureau and Homestart in Malvern, which offers support to young families who are having trouble coping.

Homestart spokesman Kate Cowell said: "The fair is something we wouldn't miss, it has a great atmosphere and a real buzz.

"It's a wonderful opportunity to talk to people about the work we do as well as raising valuable funds for us."

Sponsors for this year's event are the Round Table.

Also available at the fair will be a range of charity Christmas cards, a book stall, raffle and tombola.

"It's a fun event and is also a great benefit for the community," said Mrs Bellamy.

The fair will run from 10am to 3.30pm at the Forum theatre.
