A FEW comments re: the proposed North Site development.

A further "500 cars" travelling up/down Church Road and all off shoots - particularly Richmond Road - would be a nightmare.

My (Lower Howsell Road) end is already a virtual race track - I've had five replacement wing mirrors in the last 18 months when I've parked outside my house.

Lorries turning into Richmond Road from Church Road frequently go over the pavement and then can't get down Richmond Road due to on-coming traffic. Richmond Road is too narrow for such vehicles, with cars parked down one side (mostly Victorian houses with no garages).

If this 'development' is to go ahead, I feel a new road, from Townsend Way to Leigh Sinton Road, must be constructed to take all the extra traffic.

I see many parents walking their children to primary schools every day, not using their cars. It is already dangerous for them crossing Richmond Road (there is frequently some selfish driver parked over the mini-crossing).

The route of this 'new road' will, inevitably, have to cross the railway line at some point. This may appear to be 'over ambitious' but common sense and a little forward thinking would dictate that a new station could be erected to serve these new residents. Malvern Link station does not have enough car parking space for the current users.

The cost of a new station could be shared between the developers, the council, British Rail and those that are going to gain from the development - not the tax payers.

It will be interesting to see if, after all these meetings which are going to be held, the council actually listens to the residents of Malvern.
