THE chief executive of the Highways Agency has responded to a letter from MP Sir Michael Spicer about the removal of foliage between Upper Strensham and the M5.
The West Worcestershire MP wrote to Archie Robertson on behalf of Strensham Parish Council, to ask where the foliage had gone and to say that it should be replaced as it screened noise from the motorway.
In a letter, Mr Robertson said: "No landscaping works have been under- taken on the motorway at this location recently and it may be that the existing planting or natural vegetation has died back."
He said that the situation was being investigated and they hoped to provide answers soon.
