SHOPPERS who have not yet got round to having a flu jab are being offered the opportunity to have the vaccination in between bagging the bargains in Worcester city centre on Saturday.
A fully trained nurse will be on hand in Superdrug, St Swithins Street, to carry out vaccinations in the privacy of the store's consulting room.
The procedure only takes a few minutes, with no side effects, although customers will have to complete a brief questionnaire about their medical history.
The nurse and Superdrug pharmacist will also be on-hand to offer help and advice to any customers wanting more information about influenza, or any other health matter.
David Clark, Superdrug's superintendent pharmacist, said due to the high demand for the vaccine at this time of the year, some GPs have to restrict administration to high priority patients such as the elderly and young children.
"We are pleased to be able to offer this quick, convenient service to anyone wanting immunisation who would not normally fall into one of the groups being vaccinated by their GP, and hope it will make vaccination more accessible for Worcester people", he added.
Vaccinations will be available between 9am and 11am and cost £15.
Customers wishing to book an appointment should call Superdrug on 01905 24018.
