ASPIRING dancers took the opportunity to pick up tips from the top in a workshop led by the Richard Alston Dance Company at Malvern Theatres on Sunday.
Instructor Jo Cansell guided a group of about 20 youngsters through a warm-up before teaching them a sequence from Gypsy Mixture.
This is one of the pieces included in the company's current tour, which included performances at Malvern Theatres on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Ms Cansell said the workshop, designed to give participants a greater understanding and appreciation of contemporary dance, received a very positive response.
"The majority of people commented on how they liked learning the piece of repertoire taken from Gypsy Mixture.
"They also said they really enjoyed the fact we had live music," she said.
