The concert Autumn Leaves, which took place at St Peter's Church, Powick last month, was well attended and raised in excess of £300 for the organ fund. The programme included a variety of acts, sketches and monologues interspersed with music and songs. Among those taking part were members of Single Reeds; songs by Lyn Snook, accompanied by Roy Snook (saxophone) and Thomas Nichol (piano); Sally Gurney; Ian Gane (singing the Hippopotamus Song accompanied on piano) and also in a humorous sketch with Will Harrison; Jenny Taylor and Tony Seldon; Kris Quatermas and friends. The concert was co-ordinated by Kris Quatermas and Ian Gane and Terry Maple arranged the technical effects, outdoor lighting and microphones with the expertise of Dick Bailey of Beauchamp Lane, Callow End. Wine and nibbles were provided by Thea wild and Marion Lewis.
