EIGHTEEN teams took part in the annual village quiz held last week at the village hall. As a result of this evening, over £330 is being sent to St James, Aston, Birmingham to help with the running of their free legal advice centre. The centre deals annually with a large number of requests for help from people of many ethnic backgrounds, on a wide range of issues.

An exhibition and sale of crafts is being held at Colwall Village Hall on Sunday, November 14 from noon-4pm. Refreshments will also be available from the river caf on the hill. Free admission and parking.

A date for your diary - The Hills Singers of Malvern assisted by the Cambrian Ensemble of Colwall present A Taste of Christmas on November 27 in St James' Church, Colwall. Tickets £5, children under 16 £2, from John Goodwin Estate Agents or at the door.

There will be a collection for the charity Jessie's Fund, which helps sick and disabled children by providing musical instruments and funding the services of music therapists in children's hospices.

Coffee with two pianos will be held at Oaklands, Walwyn Road, Colwall tomorrow (Saturday) from 10.30am-noon. This is in aid of the Leukaemia and Intensive Chemotherapy Clinic at Cheltenham. This is organised by Ann Bridcutt and Barbara Dutton. All are welcome.
