WITH remembrance day upon us once again we will all be paying our respects to the sacrifice made by so many over 60 years ago, so much was done by our elders, but the community stood together for what was to be a better future for generations to come, to which we have a lot to be thankful for: ie in reference to the suffering even today of so many people will war ever end!

Even if it never does - we can at least keep peace amongst us in our own community - can we still respect our elders? (Quote letter let's not forget the over 70s), these are, the ones who have done the job to help make it better for us, so lets give thanks to our leaders of the town for what has been done for so many years. Where would the old conservative market town of Evesham be without councillors who stood their ground and put their free time to sort things out whether they were right or wrong - but it was left for someone to have to do the job, which leaves us now with a member of our community, who has done so much for the town for many many years, a man of good character, and also really good standards, re a gentleman an inspiration to us all, who does not deserve to be disrespected for all he has done even before some of us were born. I think some situations can and should be treated with a bit more of a diplomatic approach!

K CASCONE AND B FULCHER, on behalf of a community of the over 70's, Norton.
