KIDDERMINSTER students interested in working in the construction industry are being advised to pick up a copy of a new college prospectus.

The National Construction College's 2005 prospectus is now available and offers a range of courses including plant operations and mechanics, groundworks, civil engineering, roofing, ceiling fixing and general construction, as well as a new demolition course, which has been created to tackle the demolition sector's skills shortage.

The apprenticeships offered by the college are available at four sites in England and Scotland, including the Midlands campus in Kings Norton, Birmingham.

The college recommends year 11 students register their interest for the 2005 course intake as early as possible.

Ian Woodward, new entrant training manager at the National Construction College said: "We have made sure the 2005 prospectus includes courses for all ages, abilities and areas of construction."

He added: "The construction industry is crying out for new recruits. As well as excellent job prospects, there is an exciting and rewarding career ahead of any young person who enters the industry via the National Construction College."
