PERSHORE'S hopes of continuing their fine start to the league season were dealt a blow when last Saturday's rescheduled match at Hereford was cancelled.
It was a third blank weekend of the season for the Piddle Parkers who will be back in action on home soil on Saturday (2,30pm) when they put their 100 per cent Midlands Three West (South) record on the line against Barkers Butts who have won all six league outings so far.
Last Saturday's game was called off due to Hereford's involvement in the Powergen Intermediate Cup.
Hasty arrangements to play Telford in the North Midlands Cup were scuppered when the Shropshire side, for some inexplicable reason, demanded on Friday night that the game be put back 24 hours to Sunday - a move vetoed by the Pershore committee.
