A CENTRE providing specialist services for people aged over 60 has retained a nationally recognised accolade.
The Grange, in Sutton Park Road, Kidderminster, has again met the Charter Mark standard. The centre, built in 1975, is a resource centre for older people.
Elijah Collins, Worcestershire County Council social services quality development officer, welcomed the award, saying: "The Grange deserves to be rewarded with the Charter Mark status, as they have worked very hard to continuously improve the service they deliver over the last three years. The centre provides high quality specialist services for people aged over 60, including assessment and rehabilitation, respite care, day care facilities and some long-stay residential care."
Howard Martin, the county councillor for the area where the centre is based, said: "Charter Marks are only given to services who can prove best practice. I am pleased that the residents in the centres are being provided with such excellent support."
