Tenbury Ladies 2nd 0 Ludlow Ladies 2nd 1
TRY as they might, Tenbury were unable to find a way back into the match after conceding an early goal against their close neighbours. The match was evenly contested and with a lot of youngsters on view, it bodes well for the future of hockey in the area.
Ludlow took advantage of a hesitant start by the young Tenbury side and took the lead in the fifth minute. Tenbury gradually got going and produced several threatening attacks through Harriet Wilkes and Emma Bradley. They managed to force a number of penalty corners but were unable to breakdown a solid Ludlow defence.
Meanwhile, the Tenbury defence with Michelle Neale and Vicky Sparey in resolute form, coped well with the Ludlow front line but lacked the incision to beat a solid Ludlow rearguard.
