Tenbury 42pts
Ludlow 2nds 10 pts
THESE two local rivals produced an open running friendly game played in a good spirit. Tenbury won the try count 7-2 to record a comfortable victory at Palmer's Meadow.
The home team led 20-5 at the break with Paul Murphy running in his first try for the club, Richard Wozencroft completing a sweet handling movement for the second and Charlie Fernehough finishing off good play by his fellow forwards for the third. Ricky Evans converted one and knocked over a penalty whilst Ludlow responded with an Andy Hamer try.
Darren Kite, Toby Higginson and Andy Black each scored a try as the free-flowing rugby continued in the second half. Evans also scored a try and added one conversion. The Ludlow full back added a second unconverted try as some consolation for their part in an entertaining afternoon.
This week Tenbury return to league action with an away fixture at Bredon Star. If they win they will join their hosts on eight points, at the top of the table and with a game in hand.
