A SUPERMARKET group is footing the bill for a new bench destined for a Kidderminster park.
The Friends of Broadwaters successfully appealed to West Midlands Co-op for the £700 needed for a metal bench for the estate's park.
Jean Edwards, one of the friends' volunteers, said: "I've been a member of the Co-op for many years. I was delighted to discover that the society was willing to pay for one of our new benches."
The new bench is due to be delivered by the Scotland-based supplier in the spring.
