County treasurer Julia Roberts presided at the annual meeting. She commented on the increase in membership, including a lady who had moved from Oxford and joined because of reports seen in the local newspaper.
Several events were organised where Lickhill and Areley Kings were involved.
Kath Oakley was re-elected as president, Mavis Morrissey as secretary and Eva Dukes as treasurer, with Sylvia Fewter to assist Mrs Dukes.
Anita Willis's poem about bonfire night was chosen to be read at the Wyre Forest group meeting in November.
Betty Rooney gave an account of her visit to the 24th triennial conference for the Associated Country Women of the World, in Hobart, Tasmania.
Dates for the diary: November 22, bridge drive at Blakedown parish hall; Tuesday, December 7, Christmas shopping trip to Bath. Corn dollies will be demonstrated by Chris Cooke on Wednesday at 10am in the Memorial Park Community Centre, Stourport.
