PERSHORE Rugby Club and Barkers Butts square up for a top-of-the-table showdown on Saturday.

The two Midlands Three West (South) front runners, who both boast a 100 per cent record, go head to head in the game of the day at Piddle Park.

Pershore have won six out of six of their league matches so far while Barkers Butts have been in free scoring form as they've collected seven victories from seven. However, a Pershore win will put them level on points with the Coventry outfit on Saturday night.

Bromsgrove will leapfrog their opposition in Midlands One if they overcome Scunthorpe on Saturday. The Finstall Park side, who are handily placed in fifth position, will overtake their rivals if they win at Heslam Park. Defeat, however, could see Luctonians jump above Bromsgrove in the table as they look set for victory at bottom side Whitchurch.

High-flying Malvern, meanwhile, host Old Laurentians at Spring Lane looking to increase the pressure on Midlands Two West leaders Burton. Malvern are three points off the pace in second spot but, with Burton facing a tricky trip to Kenilworth, Dave Robins' team may fancy their chances of cutting that gap.

Kidderminster Carolians' poor start to their Midlands Three West (North) campaign may well continue when they face Lichfield at Marlpool Lane. KCs, who have already lost five out of seven games so far this season, take on the Cooke Fields side who lie in third spot.

Another struggling team -- Droitwich -- will be desperate to belatedly kick-start their season after losing all of their Midlands Three West (South) games so far. They've also been docked two points for fielding an ineligible player so are anchored to the bottom of the table on minus two points, four points behind the 11th placed side Bedworth.

On Saturday, however, they have a chance to claim that elusive first win as they go head to head with Earlsdon who have only won two games this season. In the same league, Hereford can do Droitwich a favour as they welcome Bedworth to Wyeside while Ledbury travel to Stratford.

Midlands Four West (South) leaders Worcester Wanderers should continue their fine form with victory at Marconi Coventry, while fourth-placed Evesham take on third placed Keresley. Elsewhere, Upton travel to Birmingham Civil Service in North Midlands (South) One as Bromyard tackle Dudley Wasps in North Midlands (South) Two.
