Birdseye Sports Evesham and District Sunday League

BADSEY Recreation reached the third round of the Tewkesbury Sports Knockout Cup with a comfortable victory at Riverside.

Nick Simms scored twice for the winners whose other goals came from Berry and Jordan. Riverside replied through Rowberry.

Evesham WMC also made progress with a 4-0 defeat of Queens thanks to goals from Powell (2), Harris and Sollis.

Offenham Rovers easily overcame Bell United with Burrows (4), Tustin (2), Sollis (2) and Griffiths on target on target in a 9-2 triumph.

Division Two leaders Peopleton fell to third division Bretforton Old Boys for whom Paul Jones netted twice, while Ben Greenwood was on target as the Bear won 2-0 at Wickhamford. Inkberrow hit seven without reply at Cider Mill.

Doubles from McLean and Woods helped Upton Snodsbury record a first division win at Willersey.

Oddfellows Arms moved level at the top of Division Two after a fine win at Golden Cross. Sears (3) and Carter (2) scored for the winners.

Bredon have made their best start for several seasons and goals from Crilley, Diamond and Christian helped overcome Lower Moor.

A Cooke brace helped Shipston Excelsior record a second successive win, this week against Broadway Utd, while Defford and Besford's six goals were too many for Bidford.

The bottom two clubs in Division Three both suffered defeats. Pebworth lost at Ashton for whom Kelsall, Cooke, Padfield and White were on target, while Broadway Reserves lost to Crowle despite a Gary Buckland double. Stone (4) and Hibbert (2) netted for the winners.

Division Four leaders Pinvin United won at home to Beng-eworth Sports with goals from Izod, Ballard and Henry.

George are clear in second place after an odd goal in five win at faltering Royal Oak, Crown Athletic defeated Gate Inn with goals from Stanley, Staite and Hampton, while Lenches Lions edged out Eckington after a seven-goal thriller.

Mickleton Rangers and Mor-eton Wanderers progressed into the last 16 of the GFA Sunday Premier Cup, while Tewkesbury Town made similar progress in the Intermedi-ate equivalent.
