AMAZING Feet Running Club members took part in the first race of the winter cross country league in Birmingham as part of the Reebok Cross Challenge series, which also counts towards the Midlands Leagues.
The club's ladies raced over a six kilometre course in wet and muddy conditions in the Midland Counties League.
Results: Faye Evans, 181st in 35 minutes 21 seconds, Sarah Lewis 188th in 35-21, Marianne Haycox 201st in 37-31, Jane Pye 209th in 38-43, Christine Smith 212th in 39-23.
In the men's event, athletes ran three laps for a 10km course, the leading six club runners finishing 13th out of 15 teams in the Birmingham and District Invitation League Division Four.
Brian Humphries, 13th in 45-06, Shaw Pye 44th in 50-28, Martin Howles 73rd in 53-08, Mike Warren 82nd in 54-07, David Pye 95th in 55-53, Roger Canavan 119th in 59-46, Simon Gregg 132nd in one hour 2-15, Lindsay Pulley 148th in 1-14-25.
Richard Baker preferred the roads of the Walsall Flyer, a five-mile road race in the West Midlands, where he recorded a time of 39-12.
