THERE was a major upset in the first round of the Banks's Bewdley Darts League Knock-out Cup.
Last year's winners, Bliss Gate, were beaten 4-3 by Wagon and Horses A.
Wagon made a spirited start and were soon leading Bliss Gate by two games.
Then Gate won a game, but lost the next, and with defeat staring them in the face they rallied to win the next two games to level the scores.
The final game went to the Wagon with excellent play from Simon Thomas.
The only other match played saw Cock and Magpie through to the next round with a 5-2 victory over Black Boy, largely due to excellent leadership and play by captain Neil Harrison.
All the other teams had byes.
