ANOTHER successful season has now ended for Gilt Edge Bowling Club, with major achievements at both county and national level.
The following received awards.
Men's section: EBA International 50th cap - Grant Burgess; EBA Under-25s International - Marc Stone; County Singles winner - Robert McCaughtrie; County U-15s winner - Stone; County Fours runners-up - Chris Lane, Ray Vickers, John Weaver, Mark Weaver; representing Worcestershire at National Championships, Worcestershire Bowling Association Top Four (three from Gilt Edge) - Steve Parker, Stone, Burgess.
Mixed teams: National Mixed Fours County winners - Margaret Stokes, Lynn Sandox, Peter Stokes, Mark Sandoz; represented Worcestershire at inter-county level, County Mixed Fours runners-up - M Stokes, P Stokes, Gavin Logan, Pat Logan; Worcester Six Rink League winners - Gilt Edge; Stairlift Trophy winners - Gilt Edge.
Ladies section: Four wood Singles winner and two-wood singles runner-up - M Stokes; represented Worcestershire at National Championships, County 0-55 pairs winners - P Logan, Vi Clayton; Represented Worcester County at Inter-county level, County Cup Double Rink winners - Gilt Edge Ladies.
M Stokes will be the WCWBA president for 2005.
On the last day of the season a charity afternoon was held in aid of Air Ambulance, when more than £440 was raised.
Anyone who like to try the sport of bowling will be welcome on a Wednesday or Friday morning, starting at the end of April.
