A WORCESTER charity has issued a big "thank you" to kind-hearted residents who have donated items of furniture to those less fortunate than themselves.
Armchair, which aims to provide people on low incomes with household furnishings, had a long list of city residents desperate for furniture, including beds, dressing tables and three-piece suites.
"Thanks to the Evening News, I have received 27 phone calls from people offering their old items," chairman Margaret Jones said.
The charity accepts all quality household items, but nothing electrical, and will happily collect.
