A MIXED match took place on Sunday evening when a ten-strong Bretforton squad tackled Fosseway Falcons at Stratford High School.
The Falcons played with a little too much enthusiasm at times and seemed to "trample" over some of the women in the village team.
Falcons opened the scoring in the first half despite some excellent play from Marcus Jordan in goal but Bret-forton came back with some excellent play from Sophie Corbett and Lisa Workman that created several chances.
They pulled a goal back just before half-time following an excellent run from Anthony Handley who slip-ped the ball past the keeper.
Falcons made it 3-1 after the restart with a dubious goal bit it failed to fluster their opponents who saw Andrea Cole's shot from a short corner hit a post. How-ever, a similar set-piece brought Bretforton a second goal but it came too late.
