MEMBERS of Alcester Youth Project have handed over £250 to the town council towards repairs to the vandal-hit skate park on Hopkins Fields.
The youngsters raised £130 with a sponsored skate at the Greig sports hall in the summer and the rest was given by AYP.
Alcester Mayor Chris Gough received the money on behalf of the town council, which has spent thousands of pounds this year on repairs to the skate park.
Although some damage was caused by wear and tear, most was the result of vandalism and arson.
