A WORCESTER business is hoping its new environmental scheme takes root as it embarks on a national tree planting initiative.
Cartridge World, based in Barbourne Road, is aiming to plant 6,000 trees.
The average person in the UK uses the equivalent of 12 trees a year, and the Cartridge World initiative aims to redress this balance.
"The aim is to plant 6,000 trees in the next 12 months, half of which will be used to create the company's very own wood in the National Forest," said a Cartridge World spokesman.
"To help achieve this, we have set up a loyalty card scheme, where customers in Worcester will receive a stamp every time they refill their existing cartridges and toners.
"For every stamp issued, we will plant a tree."
