ALCESTER library is going to be fitted with new, automatic doors to make it easier for customers to get in and out.
Work begins on Monday and is due to be finished by December 3.
The library will not be closed but an alternative entrance at the rear of the building will be in use during that time.
The library will close this Friday, however, along with Bidford, Stratford and Studley. This is for staff training and planning for next year.
Divisional librarian Emma Sparkes said: "We apologise in advance for the inconvenience to our customers. The planning and training is essential to maintain and improve the library services in the county.
"The new doors will be a huge improvement to the access.
"We are sure that the small amount of inconvenience caused to our customers during the work will be worth it for the benefits that the refurbished entrance will bring."
