THE women's section held their October meeting, which was the AGM.

It started with the Exhortation. During the one-minute's silence, members who had died or who were ill were remembered.

This was followed with apologies and reports.

Members were asked to join the committee because of low numbers.

The committee tries to please all and works quite hard and it was hoped for support.

During the AGM, officers gave their reports and presentations took place.

Several of the committee had given many years' service and they were thanked sincerely for their time and devotion to the branch.

The evening proved enjoyable when, after the formalities, members had time for a chat.

An interesting programme is planned for the forthcoming months.

Members old and new are welcome to attend the meetings.

A Poppy Bazaar was held on Saturday, November 6.

On Remembrance Sunday, there will be a service at the club at 9.30am.

On November 17, a beetle drive takes place at 7.30pm.
