YOUNGSTERS from a Rednal nursery celebrated an Indian festival and learnt about different traditions and cultures at the same time.
Children from the Jelly Babies Nursery, which meets at the Longbridge Methodist Church in Bristol Road South, learnt about Dewali - the Hindu festival of light.
Enthusiastic pupils dressed up in gold outfits and acted out Dewali celebrations.
They also made Indian sweets, masks and lamps.
The nursery's Jacqueline Walker said: "We want to show children about other cultures.
"As it is around bonfire night, we also wanted to show them an alternative and how other countries celebrate different festivals."
