REGARDING the Government's plans for the creation of casinos throughout the country, my concern is that the ownership of them will be from outside and therefore the profits will go out of the country.
Could we not adopt the French system, where each local council has its own casino - which under their system, provides social facilities as well?
This means the whole family, children including, can go, the profits going to provide services in that town or city, services that we seem to have difficulty in funding.
This works across the Channel. Surely there is no reason why it shouldn't work here?
