Greenhill Reserves 1
Droitwich Spa Reserves 3
Midland Combination Division Three
Spa returned to winning ways on Saturday with a well deserved victory at Greenhill.
Droitwich started strongly and produced some good football despite playing on a particularly heavy pitch.
They took the lead just before half-time when Chris Everett's corner was met by the head of Ian Cottrill.
The home side came out strongly for the second half and put Spa under immediate pressure, which they couldn't withstand, as Greenhill levelled from close range.
Substitute Rob Bell hit back for Droitwich when he forced the ball home after a goal mouth scramble.
Neil McCullogh rounded Greenhill's goalkeeper to seal the first away win of the season for manager Richard Goode's side, a victory which takes them up to eighth in the table.
On Saturday, Droitwich clash against Badsey Rangers Reserves in the Evesham Hospital Cup.
