THE high-flying Kingsfishers kept another clean sheet as they returned from Worcester with another resounding victory.

The first team had learnt lessons from their last friendly away to Bromsgrove and took a full compliment of players.

Redditch took the game straight to Worcester and went over for their first score on five minutes.

Redditch's open game was working well as the visitors finished the half 33-0 up.

After the break Redditch continued their scoring streak thanks to John Tomlinson.

Redditch take another week off North Midlands One action on Saturday and instead entertain Stourport at Bromsgrove Road (KO 2pm).

Redditch seconds took on Worcester in a top of the table clash of the Merit League and found themselves 19-3 down at the break. Trevor Pennington kicking Redditch's only points of the half.

But it was a different story after the interval as the back row came into its own to gain Redditch much-needed ground.

Redditch soon commanded the line out and possession in the scrum letting the visitors turn pressure into points.

Cross, Ferris, Johnny Giles all ran in tries before Trevor Hirons had the last word as Redditch finished 33-29 up.

Pennington also added to his first half points with two-drop goals and two conversions.
