PROTESTING online has never been easier, according to the chairman of an action group fighting proposals for a Hopwood rendering plant.
Chairman of action group HARM (Hopwood Against Rendering Movement) Jeremy Roberts said a new facility on their website enabled campaigners against the Mayfield Farm rendering plant to air their views electronically, simply by clicking on 'email protest'.
The faces of Bromsgrove MP Julie Kirkbride and Bromsgrove Council's planning committee administrator Dave Terry are among those displayed on the web.
Clicking on one of the faces presents the user with that person's contact details and 'pointers' detailing their interests in relation to the case.
If it goes ahead, the plant on Canalside, would be used to render down off-cuts of animals.
Mr Roberts, who designed HARM's website, said: "The facility means we are essentially spoon-feeding the public.
"But we want to make it as easy, painless and quick as possible for people to protest against the plant."
