PARALYMPIC bronze medal winner Claire Cashmore enjoyed her must successful national competition yet in Sheffield.
The swimming sensation was awarded the top female swimmer prize across all groups for her achievements at the Disability Sport England National Short-course Championships.
Cashmore, a Wyre Forest Swimming Club ace, won seven gold medals and one silver from eight events, as well as breaking two world short-course records and one European best.
The teenager, now boarding at a Devon college specialising in sport, set the world records in the 100-metre individual medley and 50m backstroke, clocking one minute 16.98 seconds and 35.84 seconds respectively.
In the 100m backstroke, Kidderminster's Cashmore scooped a gold medal and European best with a flourish in 1-16.24.
Gold medals also arrived for Cashmore in the 100m freestyle with a time of 1-08.11, the 200m individual medley in 2-46.15, the 100m butterfly in 1-24.35 and the 50m freestyle in 31.20.
Finally, Cashmore also picked up a 100m breaststroke silver after finishing the race in 1-29.34.
In four events she beat well-known Paralympian Sarah Bailey who competes in a disability group one lower than Cashmore, apart from in the breaststroke.
