Redditch Ladies 3
Worcester Ladies 4
HIGH-flying Worcester was pushed all the way by Redditch ladies in a seven-goal thriller at Bromsgrove Road.
Redditch were made to pay for missed chances in the first ten minutes as Olivia Nicholson, Claire Steadman and Sharon Fish all saw their efforts go close.
But Worcester came back and scored against the run of play before Redditch captain Jo Stafford brought her side level with a sharp finish from a penalty corner.
Just before half-time the home side took the lead as Liz Thompson and Emma Preston combined to feed Lianne Cooper in the circle.
And Cooper's first time fierce strike found the corner giving the keeper no chance.
After the break Worcester showed their class and equalised in five minutes of the restart and went further ahead after fast break.
Midway through the half it was 4-2 to Worcester after taking advantage from a corner.
Redditch came back again late on in the game as Stafford scored her second from a short corner but time had run out for the ladies.
Redditch take on rivals Bromsgrove at home on Saturday (3pm start).
