PETE HALL maintained his excellent scoring record as Bromsgrove men drew 3-3 with local rivals Redditch in the West Midlands Division One on Saturday.

Hall was hero and villian for Bromsgrove as he missed a late chance to score a dramatic winner at Arrow Vale Sports Centre.

The forward had handed Bromsgrove the lead from a short corner early in the game.

However, Matthew Russell was sin-binned for dissent after his shot was blocked on the line by a Redditch player.

Bromsgrove were left ruing the missing player and Redditch headed into a 2-1 lead by half-time.

Hall though dragged his side back into the game soon after the re-start when he finished clinically.

With five minutes left Bromsgrove were trailing 3-2 after a neat break, but Hall pounced in the box to score after an incisive pass from Ben Husbands.

The in-form forward almost handed his side a late winner when he rounded the goalkeeper, but he shot wide.

Captain Julian Court felt his side had been unlucky not to win the game.

He said: "We should have had a penalty in the first half, but the umpire got it wrong.

"Pete Hall almost scored as well, but it was just one of those games for us."

Bromsgrove take on high flying Leamington away from home on Saturday (1.30pm start).
