ED DEACON inspired Droitwich to their biggest win of the season so far in the West Midlands Division One as they thrashed Yardley 7-0.
Deacon's four-goal haul helped put struggling Yardley to the sword.
Captain Paul Atkinson (2) and Andy Harris also hit the back of the net.
Victory ensured Spa stretched their lead over second in the table Leamington to three points.
Atkinson said: "We played incredibly well and Yardley could not handle us.
"Every now and again you get those games when all your shots go in.
"We have to make sure we keep this sort of form up."
Droitwich take on relegation-threatened Barlaston away from home on Saturday (2pm start).
The captain warned his buoyant side that Saturday's opponents would be a threat.
Atkinson said: "Just because Barlaston have not had the best of seasons so far doesn't mean we can't take them seriously.
"If we want to stay in contention for the title we must not get carried away."
