WORLD-WIDE hit Jekyll and Hyde - The Musical makes its UK premiere at Birmingham's Alexandra Theatre on Tuesday for a short run before embarking on a pre-West End tour.
Starring Paul Nicholas in the lead role, the musical is based on Robert Louis Stevenson's classic story about a doctor whose experiments create a murderous counterpart.
A spokesman explains: "Convinced the cure for his father's mental illness lies in the separation of man's evil nature from his good, Dr Henry Jekyll unwittingly unleashes his own dark side, wreaking havoc in the streets of late 19th century London as the savage, maniacal Edward Hyde."
Described as "pulse-pounding theatre with a macabre combination of fun and fright" the show includes hit songs This Is The Moment, Once Upon a Dream, A New Life and Someone Like You.
The production runs Tuesday to Saturday, November 16-20, with evening performances at 7.30pm and Wednesday and Saturday matinees at 2.30pm.
Tickets, priced £7.50-£25.50, are available on 0870 607 7544.
