Review - Annie at the Festival Theatre, Malvern (until Saturday)
DASH along now and grab your seat for that 'feelgood' show. You won't find them coming much better than this.
Starring Sue Pollard as Miss Hannigan, the corrupt and drunken guardian of a New York orphanage, this is a show which sparkles with the unashamed 'ah' factor.
She is so wonderfully over the top you quite like her even though you're not meant to.
Thoroughly professional, even the tiny tots came over as seasoned performers - with Emma Hopkins (Annie) quite brilliant.
It's warm, it moving and its joyful. Great theatre, and if you can't make it to Malvern before the weekend, don't worry. It's also about to arrive at the AlexandraTheatre in Birmingham.
