A SMALLWOOD man says his life is being made a misery by vandals who have daubed his house in paint three times in less than two weeks.

John McKinnon and his wife's house in South Street has been sprayed and splashed each time at about 11-11.30pm.

Twice, Mr McKinnon has scrubbed the paint away himself but this time, he says he has had enough and is going to let the council do the work.

"We just don't understand why this is happening to us. It seems as if we're being targeted but we have no idea who is doing it or why they would have anything against us.

"It is making our lives a misery," added Mr McKinnon. "My wife has asthma and I have a heart complaint and every time they do this to our house, it just aggravates our conditions."

A police spokesman said: "We are aware of what has been happening and have discussed it with Mr McKinnon.

"One of his neighbours reported seeing two girls wearing grey hooded tops running along South Street near the time of one of the incidents.

"We'd appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious to contact us and we'd also ask parents to find out if their children have spray cans or pots of paint and pay attention if they come home with paint spilt on them."
