POLICE are again warning people to be vigilant after a woman in Hollywood became suspicious about a man calling at her home.
The man called at the house in the Douglas Road area at 2pm last Thursday, claiming he was from npower and asked to read her meter.
The company later confirmed no-one from their organisation was reading meters in the area.
The man is white, 45-50 years old with a stocky build and brown hair. He was wearing grey-coloured clothing.
A police spokesman said: "Although nothing was stolen, we want people to be aware that this incident has happened and to be alert.
"The high profile Knock Knock campaign recently launched by the force to reduce the number of distraction burglaries encourages everyone to be on the look out for unusual or suspicious people and vehicles in their neighbourhood.
"We'd urge anyone who noticed anything they feel may be connected to this incident to get in touch."
