RESIDENTS of Kempsey, near Worcester, are being invited to say just exactly what they think of their village, which parts they would like to change and which they would like to preserve.
People will have the chance to express their opinions as part of Kempsey Parish Profile. The village hall will be open from 3pm to 7.30pm on Friday, November 12, when residents' written views and suggestions will be collected.
"Basically it is how you feel about the place," said Kempsey vicar, the Rev Peter Holzapfel, chairman of the group representing the various village organisations organising the profile.
"The good things people want to preserve and the bad things they want rid of. Their hopes and fears for the village for the future. We want them to write it down and tell us, young and old alike.
"We plan to organise a questionnaire to go out to the whole of the village next year and on the basis of that a parish profile will be written which, hopefully, will be used to inform and influence those such as planners in the county.''
