THE Gallery at Bevere, near Worcester, is Awash With Wildlife, thanks to artists Valerie Briggs and Trevor Smith.
Both have a fascination with wetland habitats and the wildlife that is dependent on them, sharing a concern for the survival of the flora and fauna.
Valerie has recorded the wildlife and beauty of a derelict canal near the River Salwarpe, between Droitwich and the River Severn, while Mr Smith's favourite place is the wetland nature reserve at Upton Warren, near Droitwich.
Many bird species are attracted to the site, where a series of saline and freshwater pools have formed in hollows created by salt extraction.
Both artists work from life wherever possible, adding authenticity and originality to their work.
Their watercolour paintings celebrating the wetlands are on display at the Bevere Gallery from Tuesday to Saturday, 10.30am to 5pm, until Thursday, December 2.
Both artists will be in residence most Saturdays to speak to visitors about their work.
Admission is free and there is plenty of free car parking at the gallery, which is three miles from Worcester city centre, sign posted off the A449.
