A FIREWORKS night at a Droitwich school went with a bang as dozens of people enjoyed a spectacular display.
Chawson First School hosted a bonfire night extravaganza with scores of brightly coloured fireworks lighting up the night sky.
The whole community gathered to enjoy the display and indulge in hot dogs and burgers.
"It was a short but spectacular display," said headteacher Jerry Hughes. "There was about 800 to 1,000 people there, so it was a very good night.
"It's the second year we have held a fireworks display at the school and we may hold one again next year - it's a bit too early to say at present."
