SEE MPs Mike Foster and Peter Luff are at loggerheads over the suggested employment of more CSO officers whom Mr Luff described as "two-thirds of a police officer".
I agree with Mr Luff. CSOs are not allowed to make an arrest, only to detain until the police arrive.
Last month, in a letter to the Evening News, I suggested more clerks should be employed to do the police paperwork, thus giving officers more time out on the streets doing the job they are paid to do.
