Jewellery inspired by the sea and paintings using dried leaves will be among a range of artwork on display at Colwall Village Hall.

Ceramics, jewellery, paintings and textiles by more than 20 local artists and craftspeople will be on sale at the venue on November 14.

The event has been organised by art group, arc, which brings together artists and craftspeople from across the district.

This will be the second exhibition organised by the group, following a similar event at West Malvern Village Hall in September.

Organiser Anna Brook said: "The first exhibition was extremely successful and with even more exhibitors this time, we're hopeful that this one will be even better. We're really focusing on offering visitors inspirational Christmas gifts."

Jeweller Ms Brook recently set up arc with fellow artists Carol Brook and Rachel Fletcher.

"Most of the artists work from home and art is their career, or they're thinking of making art their career," she said. "We're offering artists the chance to exhibit their work and perhaps kick-start their careers."

Ms Brook's latest jewellery collection, called Iapetus after an ancient sea that once covered the Malvern Hills, will feature in the exhibition.

Ceramic artist Rachel Pritchard, who has her own workshop in Malvern, will be among the exhibitors. After growing up in Australia, her work is inspired by the culture and landscape of the country.

Painter Charlotte Plummer, who is based at the Paper Planet Art Studio in Bishop's Frome, will also be featured at the event, which runs from noon to 4pm.

Food will be supplied by The River Cafe on the Hill and entrance and parking is free.
